2nd July 2023
Some meditations from the family service.
Through the Lord, I can live
I breathe and survive
I live, through the Lord.
Through the Lord comes all nature
Dense foliages and the tiger sun,
Trees, leaves and flowers,
Home to all creation.
Through the Lord, we socialize
With the blind, deaf, lame and disabled
These people need help,
They tell a story of survival
And we help them through their pain.
Through the Lord, we eat,
Lamb, croissant, cabbage, apples.
We make dish after dish
For others and to celebrate.
Through the Lord, we have peace of mind,
We don’t have violent protests or riots,
We aren’t hurt or abused,
We are safe in God’s hands.
Through the Lord, we have talents,
Designing clothes or the best artist,
God gave us these things.
Through the Lord, we have intelligence and dominion,
We made animation, lightbulbs and books,
He helped us so much.
Through the Lord, we inspire others,
We innovate the new generation,
We achieve new things,
We can make history,
We can change the world.
Inspired by Psalm 23 When I rest in my Lord’s Presence
I rest in the presence of the Lord, knowing I am safe in his presence.
He soothes my weary soul, among the fields of wheat, under dappled shade and with restoring breeze.
The heat of my anger is cooled and I am warmed by his love.
I am guided along a virtuous path, though through my weakness, I may stumble into weakness.
I know that he is with me when I am lost
When I rest in my Lord’s presence, I am content, and when I open my unworthy heart, I am released by his Spirit.

SABBATH
Sunrise, the rays still shine even when I am resting at the start of the day.
A yawn, a stretch, a different day.
Breakfast, thank you bakers, for making these delicious rolls for me to enjoy. Back to Church again, to meet and greet and sing and pray and listen.
After the talk, taking to time to ponder.
Thank you for slowing me down today.
Help me to seek and find your peace each day.
Thank you to Emose, Stuart and Brian for sharing these thoughts with us.
